A limiting factor is something that would limit the carrying capacity of animals in an environment. A carrying capacity is the number of animals in a species that an environment is able to carry. An example of a limiting factor for a king cobra would be the hawk. The hawk is a limiting factor for multiple reasons, the hawk can kill the cobra. But it also reduces the amount of snakes there are overall in an environment and one of the food sources cobras use are other snakes. There can actually only be less than one cobra per 5-10 miles because the amount of food king cobras consume daily and that king cobras kill each other also for food.
